Overview[ | ]
The wild boar is a common sight, you will find it often eating grass or just wandering around either alone or in small groups. The Boar has large tusks which it uses to attack its opponent with if necessary. They are territorial and will attack a player if they wander too close!
Description[ | ]
Their aggro range is quite small, so it's rare for them to attack first. Low level boars can be tamed with apples without needing any additional hooked arrows to be kept unconscious, which makes taming them a viable choice even on your first day.
Taming[ | ]
The boar can be tamed. They do not require a lot of hook arrows, even a high level will still only require around 20 hooked arrows. Once knocked out, you will have to place a feeding trough and put food in it. The boar will go through food fast so be prepared!

K.O Strategy[ | ]
Low level players should watch out for the boars charge, luckily it charges in a straight line so you can dodge to the sides.
After the boar is done with his charge it will take time for it to turn around and attack you again, use this time to fire hooked arrows into it. Make sure to kite the boar far enough from the anchor point of the hook arrow so the rope snaps, this will add torpor to the animal, repeat this process enough and it will fall unconscious.
Tamed[ | ]
A boar has many uses once tamed for the early game, they collect a lot of berries from bushes. They can harvest apples from trees at a moderate rate. while running boars are also rather fast so they can get you around.
Boars are well suited for wood, mushroom and twine gathering in the early game. You can charge through dense woods and cut down trees on your way through. Just be careful you don't charge over any cliffs.
